buggy n.3

[? bug n.4 (4a)]

(US drugs) a makeshift ‘syringe’ used by a narcotics addict.

[US]A.J. Pollock Und. Speaks 14/2: Buggy, eye-dropper used by addicts to inject morphine. A hypodermic outfit is far more effective and desirable, but on account of the danger of its possession in case of arrest, the street addict uses the abominable, rough edged eye-dropper and safety pin. The safety pin is used to open the flesh to permit entrance of eye-dropper.
