catchar n.

[Bhojpuri khachchar, lit. ‘mule’, and used as a term of abuse]

(W.I.) one who attempts to interfere maliciously in a couple’s love affair; thus one who talks out of turn, who does not ‘mind their own business’.

Guyana Chronicle 12 Dec. n.p.: Claude N–, 32, was alleged to have called beer garden owner George W–, 35, [...] a ‘catchar’ [...] because he felt that he was hiding one of his waitresses from him.
