(US drugs) the act of arranging for and taking the delivery of drugs from one’s dealer.

1936		D. Maurer ‘Argot of the Und. Narcotic Addict’ Pt 1 in AS XI:2 124/1: MEZONNY. A cryptic peddler-addict idiom which is difficult to translate; it conveys the idea that one ‘has his money working,’ i.e. is about to score a connection or receive dope from a peddler.
